Scrummy Mums is there for the times in a woman’s life when the gym is definitely not an appealing option. Whether you are pregnant and wondering what on earth your body is up to or at home with your newborn trying to work out where all the spare time has gone!

Louise Beaumont

My name is Louise Beaumont and I am a fully qualified Fitness Consultant specialising in pregnancy, post-natal and women’s fitness.  As well as being a qualified personal trainer, I am also a qualified Sports massage therapist and core stability instructor.  I am a full member of REPS New Zealand and am commited to delivering first class training and advice to women in New Zealand.  I live in Auckland and am happy to see clients all over the Auckland region and Hibiscus coast.

I come from a background of watersports and grew up in the UK in a family obsessed with the sea! After starting out in dinghies and canoes the boats got bigger as I got older and I ended up sailing yachts.  It was while working on yachts in Croatia that I met my husband Kelvin who is a kiwi and the reason why I happily live in NZ now.

Thames Cup winners Henley Royal Regatta

My sporting background comes from many years in top level competitive rowing in the UK. After starting out coxing with Oxford Brookes University while studying there, I then raced for Leander Club in Henley for several years, most notably winning the Thames Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in 2002.

I did my qualifications to be a personal trainer in 2005 and decided to set up my own business.  However, it was not until I became pregnant with my first son that I became aware of a real lack of good quality information when it came to exercising while pregnant. I was really excited about getting involved in some classes and finding some specialist advice about training but I couldn’t find anything helpful and no local classes that would let me attend, even though I was a fitness professional!  I decided this was simply not good enough and so Scrummy Mums was born along with my first son Jack!

Things went from strength to strength in the UK training mums and mums-to-be until I was 7 months pregnant with my second baby, when I decided to take a break and get ready for our move to New Zealand.

Now we are settled in Auckland and so Scrummy Mums is now kiwi too! There is the same expert knowledge and focus on women’s health and happiness, the only change might be a few more training sessions taking place at the beach!
